Carey Heikkinen

Carey Heikkinen, MS, APSW

Carey earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling with an AODA emphasis from the University of Wisconsin Stout.

Carey has worked as a Pre Sentence Investigation specialist and her experience writing pre-sentence investigation reports and alternative to revocation evaluations.  Additionally, she has worked as a therapist with Journey Day Treatment Program, specializing in services for children and adolescents.  She also expanded her expertise with at-risk adolescents while employed as a Treatment Specialist, Social Worker, and Youth Counselor at Lincoln Hills School.  She gained additional experience with at-risk youth and their families during her work with Lutheran Social Services as an Outpatient Psychotherapist.

She is well recognized for her outstanding skill in working with behavioral disorders.  We are pleased to offer her services to adults, adolescents, and families. She is recognized by the State of Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Psychotherapist.

Carey lives in Tomahawk with her three children.  She is active in her community as a musician and vocalist, playing in several groups. She is kept busy for six months out of the year with three children in hockey.

Carey's hobbies include biking, skiing, reading, knitting, watching movies, and hanging out with her children and husband.
